Madeline Keller Chigoy, a native of New Orleans, LA, born December 7, 1948, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was 69 years old. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Warren Albert Chigoy Jr., and her daughter, Nicole Chigoy Royer (Michael). Daughter of the late Whitney Francois Keller and Amelie Anne Laiche. She had one grandchild, Davin Michael Royer. Sister of Whitney Keller, Carol Walsh, Margaret Keller, Larry Keller, Kathy Favalora, Elaine Gussoni, Mary Romano, Poonie Dinapolis, Tommy Keller, and the late Rhea McCloud, Maurice Keller, Jenny Michael, Jerry Keller, and Ruthie Keller.
Madeline was an office manager for the law firm Weiss and Eason. She retired from the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Judicial Circuit on April 30, 2012. She enjoyed her hobbies including traveling, gardening, painting, walking her dog Rita, and spending time with her family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2:00-6:00pm at her home. She will have a private service for immediate family at Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
