Jean D. Velez

Jean Laudumiey Velez a pre Katrina resident of St. Bernard Parish, Meraux, LA, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, she was 87 years old.
She leaves behind her beloved companion of nearly 40 years, Charlie Rogers; daughter of the late Louise Bethancourt Laudumiey and Marion Joseph Laudumiey; mother of the late Marc Velez and Bruce Velez; sister of Lynne Laudumiey Masinter of Metairie, LA , and the late Diane Laudumiey Walsh of St. Louis, Mo; sister-in-law of Donald Masinter and the late Thomas F. Walsh. Also left to mourn is a granddaughter as well as nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of Chateau Living Center in Kenner, LA for the care they provided over the last 2 years. Jean was a former employee of Sears and her gentle way, kind heart and lively sense of humor will never be forgotten.
