James Leonard Anderson, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home in Marrero, LA. He was 45. Mr. Anderson was a native and longtime resident of the New Orleans Metro area. He graduated from John Ehret High School in 1990 and attended the University of New Orleans. He worked for the family business for many years. He was the son of the late James Leonard Anderson, Jr. and Lenora Swords Anderson. Mr. Anderson is survived by his sister, Catherine Pratt Marchetta (Michael); brother, Michael Anderson; aunt, Patricia Lund (Bob, deceased); nieces, Elizabeth Butler (Scott) and Amanda Polit; cousins, Reta LeBlanc, Justin LeBlanc and Cara LeBlanc; great-nephews and nieces, Scottie, Shyla and James; great-aunt Kathryn Hall. He is also survived by additional close family friends: Christian Scaffidi, Anna Danos, Troy Petit, William Tierney, Betty Manuel, Austin Manuel, Aspen Wilson, Duke and Robin. James was celebrated privately by his family and friends.
