Gwendlyn P. "Gwen" Barras passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 74. She was born July 2, 1943 in New Orleans, LA and a resident of River Ridge, LA. She was the daughter of the late Peter A. Perez, Jr. and Jocelyn R. Micas. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph A. "Corky" Barras, Jr., and their children: Rhonda Lorio (Shawn), Joseph A. Barras III (Lynn), and Jennie Antinnes (Jay). She is also survived by the loves of her life, her grandchildren: Reagan, Dreux, Luke, James "Jake", Tate, Grace, and Peter. Gwen was a devoted grandmother and lived life through the eyes of her grandchildren.
She was a graduate of East Jefferson High School and the Vice President of Jefferson Printing Co. She put everyone ahead of herself. She will be forever in our hearts and be remembered for the love she had for her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm with a service beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
