George William Monk passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2017 at the age of 53. He was born on January 3, 1964 to the late James Mark Monk and Bessie David Monk. George is survived by his sister, Brenda Sirera (husband, Richard); his brothers, James Mark Monk Jr. (late wife, Libby) and Timothy Monk; his nieces: Tabitha Monk, Amanda Monk, Emily Sirera, Molly Sirera, and Ashley Monk; his nephews: Brandon Monk, Joshua Monk, B.J. Monk, and C.J. Monk; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Albert Monk and Robert Monk (wife, Olivia).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
