Dorothy Berryhill Smith departed this life on Monday June 19, 2017 at 8:30 am at her residence in Kenner, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Comeaux and Frances Berryhill. Loving wife of 64 years to the late Rudolph Smith Sr. Mother of Joann (Joseph) Taylor, Charles (Gwendolyn) Smith, Wayne (Pamela) Smith, Denise Jennings, Helen (Maxie) Lorick, Cindy (Keith) Collins, Wendy (Craig) Wilson, Robin (Barry) Hilbert, beloved daughter-in-law Melvina Smith, brother Willie Berryhill, and brother-in-law Joseph (Lucinda) Williams. Also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also the officers and members of the Second New Guide Missionary Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship of Dallas Texas, St. Augustine Catholic Church of New Roads, LA, New Mt. Bethel B.C. and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Family Hour on Friday June 23rd from 6pm to 8pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Hwy, Metairie, LA 70001. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday June 24th at 10am at the Second New Guide Missionary Baptist Church 1424 Dilton St. Metairie, LA. Rev. Dale J. Sanders Sr. officiant. Interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
