Cecil E. Terry, longtime resident of Marrero and Kenner, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born in Wilburton, OK to the late James "Bo" and Goldie Terry. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Terry; his children, Brent Terry, Curtis Terry (Trish), and Tammy D'Amico (Philip); his grandchildren, Amanda Floyd (Gary) and Felippo D'Amico; his great-grandson, Landyn Rand; and his sister, Irene Boddy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Bill Terry, Louise Hefley, and Jack Terry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Cecil was an investigator for Heisler & Wysocki Law Firm for over 25 years and then worked for his son's business, Public Wholesalers, for 25 years. He attended First Baptist Church of Marrero for over 25 years. He was involved in several bowling leagues at Westbank Expressway Bowling Lanes and Don Carters Bowling Alley. Cecil loved karaoke and won many contests at the Treasure Chest Casino. He was a kind man with a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to anybody and lived his life to the fullest. We'll remember Cecil as the man that always had a joke to share and a smile on his face.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service by Rev. Ronnie McLellan at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
