Brian A. “Bri Bri” Trahan passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the age of 47. Beloved brother of Elizabeth T. Monk and brother-in-law of Tom Monk Jr. Uncle and second father to Dylan M. Bowers and the late Colin Matthew Bowers and great uncle of Anastasia and Aurora Bowers. He was the nephew of Danny O’Connor and many other aunts and uncles. Godchild of the late Elaine O’Connor. Cousin of Shelley DuVall and numerous others. Stepbrother of Chris and Michael Braud. Dear friend of Farel Fisher. Also survived by his mother, Sharri O’Connor Braud and his sister, Tiffany Trahan.
Brian was born May 29, 1973 and was a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. He served in Desert Storm with the U.S. Navy from 1991 – 1995. He worked at Bayou Barriere Gold Club, Beta Testing, and D&M Steel. He had a fiery personality with a heart of gold. He was a compassionate man that gave many chances. He will be missed.
A visitation will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with military honors presentation at 6:30 pm. Due to state mandates, masks are required and visitation is limited to a total of 50 people so close friends and family only are permitted.
