Allen G. Rasch, Jr.

Allen G. Rasch, Jr., age 63, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was the son of Joan A. Rasch and the late Allen G. Rasch, Sr. He was the companion of 38 years to the late Belinda Ann Gauthreaux; the beloved father of Brandon Rasch (Judith Barak), Lindsay Gauthreaux and Jeremy Black and the grandfather of Virginia Leigh Rasch. He was the brother of Patricia “Patti” Rasch, Susan Rasch, Joan Rasch and a brother, William “Billy” Rasch. He is also survived by four nieces and two nephews: Jennifer Hill Frederick, Randy Anthony Fanara, Jr., Jason Paul Dufrene, Rachel Amanda Fanara, Kaitlyn Beth Millet and Jenae Gelpi Solace. Allen was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Metairie. He was a shipbuilder at Avondale Shipyards where he also worked as an electrician, welder and master scaffolder. He also worked in HVAC and ventilation while employed with Avondale Shipyards.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in St. John Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
