Allen C. Corass passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of 34 years to Rita Corass. Loving father of Kelly Corass Buisson (Jean-Paul) and Kimberly Corass Oliva (Diego). Grandfather of Micah Allen Oliva. Son of the late Edward Corass Sr. and Virginia Lusco Corass. Brother of Virginia Greenwood, Edward J. Corass Jr., Margaret Alice Worden, Antoinette Dillenkoffer, and the late Clifford B. Corass. Also survived by his beloved dog, Lady, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends that were near and dear to his heart.
Allen was a resident of Kenner, LA for the past 32 years and a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He was employed for many years with HANO and more recently worked as an electrician for HRI Properties. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the 5th Floor nurses and doctors at Ochsner Kenner, Dr. Tamma, Dr. Joshi, and St. Joseph's Hospice (Carpenter House) for their care of Allen during his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until Mass time. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
