Abigail P. Guillen, age 78 passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
Abigail was born June 23, 1939 in Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico.
A native of Mexico, Abigail immigrated to the United States in 1955, living in California, New Jersey and settling in Louisiana.
She was a resident of the French Quarter, Farbourg Marginy and settling in Metairie, La.
She is predeceased by her mother Raquel Punzo. Her husband Guillermo B. Guillen of 57 years, and a daughter Maria (Lupe) Williamson and a granddaughter Olivia M. Giacontiere. 
She is survived by two sons Glenn Guillen (Susanne), Gary Guillen (Todd Cox), a daughter Ginny Guillen Davis (the late Jim Davis).
A granddaughter Jacqueline Bloodworth,  3 grandson's, Jerry Byington, Christopher Guillen, and  Jonathan Guillen, Two great grandson's Julian Bloodworth and Jack Layman, 4 grandcats and Rocky Raccoon and the gang.
She is also survived by two brothers, Salvador Cortez Punzo( Victoria) of Mexico City, Mexico. Manuel Punzo (Lola) of Chicago, Illinois and a sister Rosa Martha Punzo of Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico.
She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Mexico, Texas, California and Chicago.
Abigail was a housewife and a homemaker in her later years after retiring.
She worked for the H.D. Hughes and H.B.Hughes family of New Orleans for over 20 years. In her earlier years she was employed at the Darling shop and Lerner Women's Shop on Canal Street in New Orleans 
Abigail loved sewing being a custom seamstress and custom upholsterer and home decor items.
She was known for her love of cooking and baking.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, La 70001 at 1:00pm and visitation will begin at 11:00 am.
